A brief production update.

This week, three books are hitting the Night Shade warehouse: The trade paperback of Laird Barron’s The Imago Sequence and Other Stories, along with new printings of Wastelands (fifth printing) and The Living Dead (third printing).

On April 10, Seamus Cooper’s Mall of Cthulhu will be arriving, as will Bar None, Tim Lebbon’s novel of chilling suspense, apocalyptic beauty, and fine ales. And in case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a quick glance at Eric Fortune’s impressive Bar None cover:

April 20 brings Neal Asher’s Prador Moon, Glen Cook’s Passage at Arms, Mark Teppo’s Lightbreaker, and Liz Williams’ Precious Dragon in Mass Market Paperback.

And by the end of April we will finally see Glen Cook’s Dread Empire short fiction collection, An Empire Unacquainted with Defeat and Liz Williams’ latest Detective Inspector Chen book, The Shadow Pavilion in hardcover. It’s been a long wait on these, so thanks for being patient with us; as we’ve often said, we’d rather take the time and do a book right than put out an inferior product, and we think you’ll appreciate all the effort that’s gone into these two titles. Also coming April 20 is Jonathan Strahan’s The Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of the Year Volume 3, which features a lineup that has to be seen to be believed.

The final missing piece of Clark Ashton Smith’s The Collected Fantasies, Volume 4: The Maze of the Enchanter arrived this week, and we’re thrilled to announce that it’s an introduction by the illustrious Gahan Wilson. Can’t wait that long? Then click here for a sneak peek at the introduction.

Both Smith Volume 4 and The Collected Fiction of William Hope Hodgson, Volume 5: The Dream of X and Other Fantastic Visions are undergoing one final round of editorial attention before heading off to the printer, and should be out by early May. The Collected Fiction of William Hope Hodgson, Volume 2: The House on the Borderland and Other Mysterious Places will be reprinted side-by-side with Volume 5.

Thanks for your patience. As other release dates become clear, we’ll post them here.
