Fast Ships nominated for Shirley Jackson Award

Congratulations to Ann & Jeff VanderMeer whose anthology Fast Ships, Black Sails was just named a finalist for the Shirley Jackson Awards. Also nominated, from Fast Ships, is Conrad Williams’s story, “68° 07’ 15″N, 31° 36’ 44″W.”

Publishers Weekly on “Good Worlds and Bad”

An article from Publishers Weekly’s new science fiction/fantasy issue is up on PW’s website, and features an interview with Night Shade editor-in-chief Jeremy Lassen, along with commentary from other editors in the field. Singled out in the article are Wastelands, The Living Dead, and Paolo Bacigalupi’s forthcoming novel The Windup Girl.
