• The December issue of Locus reviews ECLIPSE THREE edited by Jonathan Strahan: “It’s hard to come up with a coherent review for a loosely themed anthology series like the Eclipse books. Perhaps what all of these stories, which range from straight-up science fiction to sword-and-peasant fantasy to exquisitely interstitial, have in common is that each tale comes with a strong sense of character and place that is coupled with a strong authorial voice whose tones can’t be mistaken.”
• The December Locus also reviews THE BEST HORROR OF THE YEAR, VOL. 1, edited by Ellen Datlow: “Show[s] that the children of the night are still making beautiful music.”
