Hey Deborah, will you and Jay be at World Fantasy in DC? Just thinking about launch parties... The INTRACITIES antho launches there, along with FLYTRAP and some others. Maybe a super-combo launch-a-thon party? Any takers??? |

Deborah, so is that Polyphony 3 launch at WFC official. And how about other projects, Wu/Lake and did I hear something about a Howard book? |

Dear GB, Thanks for asking! Yes, indeed, we will launch Polyphony 3 at WFC. The TOC is upstream here somewhere. Also at WFC, we'll have Greetings From Lake Wu -- a fabulous collection of stories by Jay Lake with original illustrations by Frank Wu. And, as if all that wasn't enough, yes, we will have Dream FActories and RAdio Pictures, a collection of Howard Waldrop's film and television related stories. Includes such favorites as Fin deCycle, The Effects of Alienation, Occam's Ducks, and a new story from 2001, Major Spacer in the 21st Century. It was originally done in 2001 as an ebook by Electric Story, but this is the first print edition (a lovely trade paperback). I expect to have order buttons and info on the Wheatland Press website Any Day Now. Tell your friends! Deborah |

Got my copy of P3 about three days ago. Some very good stuff in there, including a heckuva Barry Malzberg (with Rothian overtones), a fast-paced look at two mid-twentieth-century American icons by Jack Dann (Presley & Dean), and Jeff Ford's evocative "Coffins on the River." If I haven't mentioned anything else at this point, it's probably only because I haven't sat down and read the other contributions yet. Will do so within the next day or so. Anyway, thanks, Deb and Jay. |
